The Content & Social Media Executive is accountable for owning and delivering core Florence Guild marketing and communications initiatives, including social media, communications, email marketing and content marketing. Combining strategy, writing and editorial, marketing, creative concepting, production and on-platform management, this newly created position plays an integral role in the overarching success of our Marketing program. From inception through to execution, you will work alongside the marketing team to develop annual marketing and communications strategies that drive awareness, acquisition and retention.
This role is an opportunity for a marketing and communications guru to drive an exciting pipeline of activity within a growing business. The role is for a natural storyteller & energetic self-starter who wants to become part of an entrepreneurial & community-minded culture. Someone hugely passionate about copywriting and content creation, who has the desire to work on a range of brands – including a number of food, beverage and retail brands – and who is capable of taking the lead in creating and managing organic social media.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, data driven environment which will require you to prioritise commitments to internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. As an experienced professional in a nimble team, you'll need to be comfortable balancing your time between strategy as well as implementation. You will report on communications & marketing performance and provide monthly insights and optimisation recommendations.
What your day-to-day might look like
- Drive Florence Guild's overarching social media and communications programs.
- Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop annual marketing and communication initiatives that ladder back to the overarching Marketing strategy.
- Use your abundant creativity and aesthetic prowess to bring our premium brands to life and engage our audiences.
- Social media content strategy, with a focus on growing our organic channels across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook
- Manage Florence Guild social media channels, including community management, monthly content calendars, image sourcing, publishing and provide expert guidance across social marketing campaigns.
- Lean on your passion for storytelling and connecting with customers on a deeper level, to drive communications that will surprise and delight our audience.
- As the email marketing guardian, you will develop a winning email marketing strategy and a compelling program, including CRM management, database cleansing, and segmention, to ensure accurate targeting and drive high open rates and conversion.
- Strategise, write or edit and publish monthly newsletters, improving open rates / CTRs.
- Identify and develop content that fits with the brand's visual style and personality.
- Write/review/edit communications and marketing content.
- Manage our PR agency, working with them to enhance all communications.
- Champion the brand, ensuring all communications deliver on our brand positioning.
- Monitor, track and report on performance. Use analytics to make informed strategic decisions and put forward recommendations to improve future activity.
- Familiarise yourself with the motivations of our member base in order to create compelling communications that deliver measurable, actionable outcomes.
- Become an expert on the competitive landscape, including trends and emerging growth tactics.
- Set appropriate budgets to deliver the marketing strategy and manage spend appropriately, including monthly forecasting and reporting.
A bit about you
- Based in Sydney with extensive experience in communications/marketing for brands or integrated/creative/communications agencies.
- Expertise developing and executing effective social media, marketing and communications strategies, with a proven ability to deliver commercial results.
- A confident communicator and a born storyteller, you can get ideas out of people's heads and onto paper with elegance and ease.
- A keen eye and flair for aesthetics, imagery curation and visual communication, with the ability to visually take a premium brand to market
- Creative thinker and problem-solver, proficient in communications, editorial, content marketing, email marketing and social media
- Advanced writing and editorial skills including copy editing, headlines and story packaging.
- CRM experience for EDM campaigns, database management and segmentation.
- SEO knowledge to optimise content for search engines.
- Passionate about content creation
- Methodical, process and deadline driven, you will be a stickler for correct grammar, obsessed with quality, have an eye for detail and the production skills to match.
- Experience with video content preferred.
- Expert user across communication and social platforms and analytical tools for measurement and optimisation
- Experience with Stakeholder management at various levels
- Experience working with premium brands is preferable
- Bachelor's Degree (Communications/Journalism/Marketing) or equivalent experiences
