What you will be doing:

  • Partnering with leaders and staff to provide timely HR advice and guidance across the employee life cycle, ensuring consistency and compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Supporting employee life cycle processes such as flexible work, leave, progression eligibility, role movements and offboarding.
  • Contributing to the development of HR policies, procedures and key People projects.
  • Preparing workforce reports to support decision-making in line with relevant legislation.
  • Assisting the recruitment team with processes on an as-needed basis.

What you will bring to the role

  • Demonstrated experience delivering a broad range of HR generalist services.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation, enterprise agreement provisions and policies to provide advice and contribute to procedure development.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to produce meaningful workforce reports.
  • Commitment to the VEC's core values.
