We're a small but dedicated People & Culture team, working closely together to support the needs of the business as they come up. Our focus is on recruiting, supporting, and retaining great people, while keeping the day-to-day running smoothly.

What's the role all about?

We're looking for a P&C Advisor to join us on a 18-month fixed-term contract, supporting the People & Culture function while a team member is on parental leave. This role has been designed to maintain continuity across key P&C functions. It's not a direct backfill, but you'll be stepping in to keep things running smoothly and help support the business.

The P&C Advisor will deliver end-to-end operational support across all aspects of the employee experience. This includes coordinating activities across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and internal communications.

This role is ideal for someone growing their career in P&C and looking to build confidence across a range of generalist responsibilities.

Your main focus areas will be:

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through to offboarding.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding experience, ensuring new starters are supported, informed and welcomed.
  • Prepare employment contracts and payroll documentation for new and existing employees.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Work with the team to help plan and coordinate internal events that bring people together.
  • Manage internal communications of important people experience information
  • Engage with employment specialists to deliver timely and practical advice to people leaders and employees on P&C matters, policies, awards and legislation.

  • You have experience in People & Culture, ideally in a generalist role, and you're ready to grow your skills in a supportive team environment.
  • You're a strong communicator, confident in your ability to influence, advocate, and build trust across all levels of the business.
  • You genuinely care about people and are passionate about creating meaningful employee experiences.
  • A solid understanding of HR compliance and employment legislation is a bonus, but not essential - we work with external employment specialists for complex matters, so knowing when to seek advice is just as important.
  • You like wearing many hats and enjoy working across a variety of tasks and projects.
  • You're a quick learner who's curious about people, how they grow, and what makes a great workplace.
  • You have a sharp eye for detail and always follow through - if you say you'll do it, it gets done.
