Medical Receptionist

Central West Cardiology are seeking a full time Medical Receptionist whose approach aligns with our company values of Integrity, Compassion, Collaboration and Excellence.  This role offers the opportunity to work within a caring and committed team of health care professionals, support staff and our patients.

The Role

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Be the first point of contact with our patients providing them with exceptional front of house customer service.
  • Maintain and manage the diary for our team of doctors and clinicians including scheduling medical examinations, testing and consultation appointments.
  • Manage patient records and update as required.
  • Be responsible for invoicing, Medicare billing, receipting and daily banking reconciliation.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Be a highly organised and efficient individual with an eye for detail
  • Have the ability to take on any task and successfully follow it through
  • Have a caring and friendly attitude towards both staff and patients.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous medical receptionist or similar experience (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple doctors at once, problem solving and time management skills
  • Experience using Genie software or similar practice management software (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn.
  • A professional and caring manner.
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable car
