Network Support Analyst (Level 2)

We are seeking a Network Support Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our customer's network infrastructure and provide technical support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong foundational networking skills who is eager to grow and take on more complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, and maintain a variety of network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and wireless networks.
  • Perform ongoing network device maintenance, including firmware and configuration updates.
  • Configure and maintain firewall policies to ensure a secure and reliable network environment.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability using monitoring tools.
  • Provide Level 2 technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for network-related incidents.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure smooth and controlled updates to the infrastructure.
  • Liaise with vendors, carriers, and internal personnel to resolve technical issues and escalate faults when required.
  • Create, maintain, and update network documentation using Microsoft Visio (or similar tools).
  • Log and manage incidents using ticketing and knowledge base systems, while adhering to company procedures and policies.
  • Travel onsite when required for the commissioning and troubleshooting of network infrastructure and services.
  • Onsite travel will be required on an as-needed basis for network commissioning and troubleshooting activities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in an MSP environment.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Network Support Analyst.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a Managed Service Provider environment.
  • Strong understanding of core networking principles, including routing, and switching.
  • Hands-on experience with Meraki and Ubiquiti and Aruba networking platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following networking platforms: Meraki, Ubiquiti, or Aruba.
  • Proven ability to raise, track, and manage network faults with carriers, ensuring issues are resolved through to restoration.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining firewall policies.
  • Proficiency in creating network diagrams and documentation.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems,
  • Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship required.
