About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of Australia's largest health system by joining the statewide NSW Health Deployment Program in the Central Resource Unit (CRU).

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist Level 2 to provide a high-quality occupational therapy service to clients and their families/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient entry, assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, evaluation, and separation of patients/clients in a multi-disciplinary setting. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.

Where you'll be working

The Occupational Therapist workforce will be deployed to locations across NSW Health from anywhere between two to 13 weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the flexibility to work for short periods of time, with the opportunity to stay longer and work across a variety of health settings when on deployment.

Targeted Questions:

  • Current Occupational Therapy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). To be appointed as a Level 2 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years' clinical experience.
  • Provide examples of your experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Tell us about your knowledge and commitment to the application of quality improvement and evidence- based practice.
  • Current drivers' licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional / remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
