About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of Australia's largest health system by joining the statewide NSW Health Deployment Program in the Central Resource Unit (CRU).

We are looking for a Radiation Therapist to perform radiation therapy simulation, planning, treatment, patient care, quality assurance and quality control, as an accredited practitioner.

Where you'll be working

The Radiation Therapist workforce will be deployed to locations across NSW Health from anywhere between two and 13 weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the flexibility to work for short periods of time, with the opportunity to stay longer and work across a variety of health settings when on deployment.

  • Appropriate qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer and recognised by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPB). Holds general registration with the MRPB of Australia as a radiation therapist and current EPA licence.
  • Provide examples of your experience with dual energy linear accelerators with multi-leaf collimation, electronic verification imaging, and experience with CT interfacing 3D treatment planning systems.
  • Detail your understanding of current Radiation Therapy, QA and radiation safety principles and practices and identify future developments in the profession.
  • Current drivers' licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional / remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
