As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking a Project Quality Coordinator - Switchrooms to join our team at our head office in Adelaide (Ferryden Park) within our Project Delivery department. Schedule

Full-time position

A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).

Salary based position (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).

The Position

As a Project Quality Co-Ordinator - Switchrooms, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across all Switchroom projects. You will conduct quality inspections, sign off on building components, and manage all quality documentation in accordance with project requirements.

Working closely with the Projects Delivery team and Project Managers, you will also coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure their quality checks are completed at different stages of the projects. In addition, you will report directly to the Projects Delivery Lead with regular updates, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support project completion through the creation of punch lists and to-do lists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality planning and preparation of quality documentation in line with project specifications.
  • Review and identification of quality and inspection requirements for each project in accordance with project specifications and schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractor teams to complete QC requirements.
  • Conduct progressive QC inspections during construction and finalise all relevant documentation, including Building ITPs, ITRs/ITCs, and FATs.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and the Cooperative Quality Team to raise, review, and close NCRs.
  • Provide regular quality reports to the Delivery team.
  • Collaborate with project teams to capture and document lessons learned.
  • Drive continuous improvement and development of quality documentation and processes.
  • Finalise and hand over Quality Packs to the Document Control team.

The successful candidate will preferably have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An understanding of the project quality lifecycle and documentation, such as QMPs, ITPs, ITRs/ITCs, and FATs.
  • Basic knowledge of building structures, finishes, and services.

Desired Competencies

  • Certifications in building or quality management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
