About the role

We are seeking an experienced hands on Hotel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our vibrant hotel in North Queensland. As our Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for leading a talented team and ensuring our guests receive an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. This is a full-time position based on-site at our  property.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, gaming and maintenance.
  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management to build and motivate a high-performing team
  • Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to optimise guest satisfaction and revenue
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, liquor and gaming regulations, and brand standards
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional strategies
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage budgets and control costs to maximise profitability

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hotel management or a similar hospitality leadership role
  • Strong operational knowledge of hotel management, including front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated financial management skills and a keen eye for revenue optimisation
  • Thorough understanding of the local hospitality market and industry best practices
  • Passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
