About the Hotel

Opening its doors in July 2021, this 101 room 4/4.5-star hotel has recently completed a full refurbishment resulting in a complete transformation from its former identity. Located in the heart of Cairns CBD, The Benson Hotel boasts a mix of facilities including a restaurant, café and bar/lounge, conference and meeting rooms, car parking and an outdoor swimming pool.

The role:

We are looking for a savvy Front Office Supervisor to join our incredible Hotel. This is a leadership role that will give room and scope to grow and have significant input into the evolution of our hotel brand in Australia. You will be responsible for managing front office operations and act in absence of senior management. This a Full-Time role and will require flexibility within availability. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • To assist as directed, to train, schedule, support, and monitor the performance of Front Office team.
  • Assist with daily administration tasks
  • Checking in & out guests, assigning rooms, pre-registering VIP's, comp rooms & attending to special requests
  • Attend to all guest enquiries via phone, email & in person
  • Handling of cash, credit and check transactions
  • Ensuring daily checklist is completed to satisfactory level
  • Familiarize yourself with hotel offerings to provide guests with appropriate information to increase revenue & customer satisfaction
  • To maintain awareness of current business level, and to familiarize yourself with all functions and procedures of Emergency & WHS
  • Provide assistance to other hotel departments such as reservations, housekeeping and F&B when required
