Role Description

We're seeking a dynamic
Sports Talent Manager
to join our growing team and lead the careers of Australia's next generation of athletes - both on and off the field.

This role is ideal for someone who
lives and breathes sport
, understands brand value, and knows how to strategically position athletes across
media, brand partnerships, and television opportunities
.

You do
not
need to be a licensed player agent - this is not a contract-negotiation or player-transfer role. Instead, you'll be focused on guiding and growing the public and commercial careers of professional athletes, helping them expand into media, ambassador, and entertainment opportunities.

Key Responsibilties

  • Manage and develop the careers of athletes across sport, lifestyle, media, and entertainment
  • Source and negotiate
    brand partnerships
    , endorsements, and ambassador roles
  • Identify and pitch talent for
    TV, digital, and media opportunities
    (reality, commentary, presenting, etc.)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with
    brands, PR agencies, networks, and sporting bodies
  • Collaborate with ASM's production and digital teams to create content and campaigns that elevate the athlete brands
  • Strategically position ASM athletes within the media and commercial landscape
  • Oversee day-to-day management, scheduling, and career planning for assigned clients
  • Support the Founder & Director on sports-related growth initiatives, partnerships, and events

About You

  • Based in Melbourne or willing to relocate
  • Minimum
    3–5 years' experience
    in talent management or brand partnerships or sports marketing
  • Proven network within the
    sports, media, and brand sectors
  • Strong understanding of the commercial side of sport - sponsorship, PR, and media value
  • Excellent relationship-builder with genuine passion for athlete storytelling and brand building
  • Highly organised with strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced creative environment
