THE ROLE:

Join the Genius team powering fan engagement with smart ads, AI-driven broadcasts, epic stats, and gamified experiences.

Are you passionate about sports and mobile app development? We're looking for a talented mid to senior-level iOS Developer to join our Melbourne team and help shape the future of fan engagement for some of the biggest names in sport, including the AFL and NRL. Working in a tight-knit, cross-functional team of designers, engineers, and product managers, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality native iOS apps that fans love to use. From building new features in Swift and improving existing functionality, to integrating with backend systems, contributing to app architecture, and writing clean, testable code, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact. Success in this role comes from a passion for sports and digital experiences, pride in delivering polished and reliable software, and enjoying the fast pace of collaboration where curiosity, learning, and knowledge-sharing are valued.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of iOS development experience delivering production apps.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift (with some Objective-C) and deep knowledge of the iOS SDK.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous data handling.
  • Skilled with Xcode, Git, and CI/CD tools such as Firebase App Distribution.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving ability, including performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience integrating 3rd party SDKs (advertising, analytics, push notifications).
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Figma (bonus if familiar with MVVM, Coordinator, Clean Architecture, or Android/Kotlin)
