Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Chef de Partie, you will be an essential link in our kitchen, responsible for the efficient operation of a specific station.

  • Own Your Station: Manage and maintain your assigned station (e.g., grill, sauté, or larder), ensuring all mise en place is completed accurately and on time.
  • Quality Control: Prepare and present dishes during service to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and portion control, following Head Chef specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior chefs and commis chefs on your station, promoting a positive and professional kitchen culture.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain an exceptionally clean and safe workstation, strictly adhering to all Food Safety and HACCP standards.
  • Stock Management: Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, inventory control, and minimizing waste through effective preparation and rotation (FIFO).
  • Communication: Work collaboratively with the Sous Chef, Head Chef, and Front of House team to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.

What You'll Bring to the Table

We are looking for someone who is not just a cook, but a true culinary professional.

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef de Partie looking for advancement.
  • Culinary Skill: Proficiency in classic cooking techniques and a genuine passion for food quality and presentation.
  • Composure: The ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient during high-volume periods.
  • Teamwork: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a varied schedule including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Qualifications: Relevant culinary trade qualifications and a current Food Safety certificate.
