Position Overview:

The General Manager will lead the Accounting and Financial Planning Practice, overseeing strategic direction, operational excellence, client relations, and team management. The role requires a seasoned financial professional with strong leadership skills to drive growth, ensure compliance, and deliver high-quality financial solutions to clients.

This is a newly created position in a long established Accounting and Financial Planning practice, a unique role to manage the current team . We are looking for someone to drive growth through processes and efficiencies, implement new policies and procedures and provide leadership and mentoring..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Accounting and Financial Planning Practice
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of accountants, financial planners, and support staff
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Drive new business development and expand the client base
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory updates to ensure the practice remains compliant and competitive
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated financial services
  • Manage budgets, resources, and operational costs effectively
  • Maintain high standards of quality and client service

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • Proven experience in financial planning, accounting, or related practice management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of financial software and technology tools
