About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the operations of Rusty's Bar and Restaurant in Coogee, NSW. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, from financial management to staff development, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional customer experience. This is a full-time ongoing position, working in conjunction with very supportive owners.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing strategic leadership to the team
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant, including ordering stock, budgeting, inventory control, staff rostering and booking entertainment
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Developing and implementing social media marketing and promotional campaigns to attract and retain customers
  • Creating and maintaining a customer-focused work environment

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience in a Venue Manager or General Manager or equivalent role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong ability to manage budgets and drive profitability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate an amazing team
  • A drive for developing and implementing successful marketing and promotional strategies
  • Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Rusty's Bar and Restaurant is a new bustling Irish live music venue in Coogee with a prominent focus on providing a welcoming atmosphere, high-quality food and drinks and most of all, outstanding customer service to everyone who walks through our doors.
