Role Overview:
This is an important and strategic role for a commercially driven Key Account Manager to take ownership of a large customer portfolio within the industrial packaging space. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you'll manage national accounts, identify growth opportunities, and deliver long-term, strategic outcomes for customers. Success in this role will come from building strong relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customers receive market-leading service and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with major accounts across FMCG, industrial and retail sectors.
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure products are delivered to specification.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and new business development to increase share of wallet.
- Prepare tenders, proposals, and commercial agreements that deliver value for both customer and business.
- Contribute to commercial strategy and market positioning decisions.
- Report on business activity, market trends, and performance against sales targets.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance in line with company policies.
Skills & Attributes:
- 5+ years' experience in senior sales, account management, or key account management within an adjacent or direct sector.
- Proven ability to manage and grow major customer accounts while delivering revenue and margin targets.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and structure supply agreements.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to thrive in a complex supply chain environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Sales, Marketing or Commerce (or equivalent experience).
