At voco Gosford, modern elegance meets warm hospitality in the heart of the Central Coast. With six exciting hospitality venues; including a modern Australian pub, a rooftop bar, and a signature restaurant, and two levels of conference and event space overlooking the stunning Brisbane Waters, we'll cater to both business and leisure travellers, as well as provide a swanky new destination for locals to meet.

As our Events Executive, you will thrive on planning, organising ,people interaction and building genuine connections with clients, couples, vendors and colleagues whilst showcasing everything voco Gosford has to offer and pulling together truly unforgettable events, meetings and conferences.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

• Liaising with clients to build accurate events bookings

• Delivering exceptional service standards in-person, on email or over the phone

• Establishing client requirements to effectively facilitate their needs

• Responding to meeting & events enquiries and upselling to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue

• Accurately logging all enquiries in the sales and catering system – compiling accurate function sheets and regular reports for the Operations Team

• Serve as the main point of contact for couples, assisting them in planning and executing their wedding day from start to finish.

• Meet with clients to understand their event vision, preferences, and requirements, ensuring the wedding or event meets their expectations.

• Assist clients in making selections on event space, catering options, décor, themes, entertainment and other services available within the hotel.

• Develop and manage detailed BEOs, ensuring all logistics are coordinated and executed on schedule.

• Assist in the completion of forecasts, department strategies, ad-hoc reports and help prepare the departmental budget.

• Build long term relationship with planners and hosts to increase loyalty to the brand and ensure a strong base of C&E repetitive business

What we need from you

• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure

• Proficient in Delphi (Cvent & Meeting Broker) and Microsoft Office Suite

• 3+ years experience in an events setting or related field

• Previous groups, meeting and events experience in a hotel or sales role

• Passion for providing excellent client experiences and client engagement

• Confidence in proactively preventing problems and ability to handle service recovery following any complaints

• Love of working in a fast-paced and motivated team with a desire to take the next step in your career

• Excellent attention to detail

• Exceptional administrative and time-management skills

• Willingness to work as part of a team and learn new things
