Located in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, The Juniors Group of Clubs offers world-class entertainment, diverse dining options, and an exciting program of events each week. Our three renowned venues—Kingsford, Maroubra, and Malabar—provide a dynamic setting for a wide variety of functions, from corporate events to weddings and everything in between.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Functions Manager, the Functions & Events Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of all aspects of function bookings across our venues. This role is key to driving excellence in customer service and growing our event business, with a focus on corporate functions and special events. The ideal candidate will be both professional and proactive with an eye for detail. Able to cultivate existing and new client relationships, while ensuring the successful execution of events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively coordinate event teams across our three venues.
  • Respond to and manage all function matters promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with the function department manager all events to ensure smooth execution of functions, including food and beverage arrangements, event setup, and staffing levels.
  • Prepare and manage event documentation, including run sheets and event specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with function staff to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Oversee and supervise event execution, attending larger functions to ensure client satisfaction and that all requirements are met.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma of Events Management or proven experience in corporate functions, events, and weddings.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, management and staff
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day business week, including evenings and weekends as needed.
