April5 is a Brand Experience Agency, specialising in brand activation, experiential marketing and events. We are the trusted partner to some of Australia's largest brands.

We are searching for a passionate and experienced Event Manager to deliver in-person and digital events for several large tech clients.

This full-time Event Manager (mid-weight) position is based in Brookvale on the Northern Beaches. You MUST have experience in event management and production at an agency or similar, preferably working with corporate clients - applications without relevant event experience will not be considered.

You'll need to be able to confidently discuss event planning, logistics and production with clients, AV teams, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless delivery at all times.

This job has a skill set critical to success:

  • Minimum 4 years experience running and managing events
  • Experience in hybrid and digital events
  • Understanding of AV production
  • Demonstrated experience in owning and running multiple projects from small to large scale
  • Experience running corporate events preferred
  • Experience working on tech clients
  • Experience and confidence in client-facing communication and presentations
  • Stand and set build experience is a bonus

Specifically, you need to be able to:

  • Scope & plan client projects, including reverse briefing where necessary
  • Prepare budgets and manage project costs
  • Write client proposals
  • Project lead & client point of contact for event execution
  • Excellent communicator internally and with clients
  • Manage junior team members to ensure they meet project deliverables
  • Creative management, including development of event ID, design of assets, copy crafting
  • Understand compliance, security & corporate event processes

Challenges in this role:

  • Multi-tasking of project/client management vs. team & business requirements
  • Being able to think on your feet whilst working in a fast-paced environment
  • Very hands-on approach – 'whatever it takes' attitude
  • Maintaining composure amidst conflicting client priorities
