About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety & Wellbeing Lead to join our Head Office team in a part-time, hybrid role. Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies and procedures
  • Maintain comprehensive WHS documentation and incident reporting
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations, recommending corrective actions
  • Coordinate and deliver WHS training
  • Manage workers compensation at a national level
  • Support the WHS committee, driving active participation in workplace safety initiatives
  • Prepare reports and data analysis
  • Develop monthly safety alerts
  • Support the implementation of a safety management system

Experience

  • Bachelor of Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in a retail environment
  • Thorough knowledge of national WHS legislation and relevant frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience with national workers compensation and claims management
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage team members at all levels
  • Experience with safety management systems, preferably Donesafe
