Our Organisation

The South West Indigenous Network (SWIN) is a not-for-profit organisation which is dedicated to increasing the health, fitness and wellbeing of Indigenous communities in South West Queensland.

SWIN was established in 2000 to provide targeted and cohesive sport, physical activity and recreation opportunities for the Indigenous people across the Darling Downs and South West.

In that time, SWIN has built a strong suite of programs and events that provide opportunities for South West communities to engage, connect and participate in. SWIN also maintains an active member base and delivers networking opportunities for sport and recreation professionals across the region.

SWIN has the cultural knowledge, community networks and professional framework to successfully connect community, business, industry and government to achieve meaningful outcomes for the health and wellbeing of Indigenous people in South West Queensland.

The Role

SWIN is seeking a dynamic and motivated Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator to represent, coordinate and deliver SWIN's engagement programs to First Nations participants within the Cunnamulla region. Working closely with other members of the SWIN team, you will be passionate about engaging with young people, ideally with a background in sport, a natural builder of relationships and have a deep connection to community.

Please note this role is offered on a fixed-term basis until June 30th 2027 with the possibility of extension, subject to funding.
