Molenaar is a leading supplier of coding, marking and industrial printing solutions globally. We partner with the Videojet brand and deliver technical + commercial excellence across Australia. As we expand our team in Melbourne, we are seeking a high-calibre Sales Manager to drive growth, build customer relationships and lead account development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership for the Sales Manager role covering Australia, reporting to senior leadership.
- Cold-call and generate new business opportunities across industrial sectors (packaging, FMCG, pharmaceutical, manufacturing).
- Manage and grow customer accounts: build relationships, understand customer needs, present Videojet solutions and deliver value.
- Translate technical information about Videojet machines/products into clear, compelling commercial propositions.
- Work closely with service/engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction, propose upgrades and repeat business.
- Travel as required within Australia (and potentially regionally) to meet customers, attend trade shows and support field operations.
- Travel frequency expected to be 40+% of time within Australia for customer meetings, trade shows and field operations support.
- Develop sales forecasts, pipeline reports and manage CRM data accurately.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Commerce
- 10+ years' experience in the Videojet brand (or equivalent industrial coding/marking equipment), preferably in both technical and commercial roles.
- Proven track record of generating new business, managing customer accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Ability to cold-call comfortably and build a pipeline of opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills: able to simplify complex technical products to commercial decision-makers.
- Good analytical and planning skills; strong customer-focus and self-motivation.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Melbourne, Australia.
- Must hold a valid work visa to be eligible for this position.
Desirable:
- International or multi-country experience with Videojet or related equipment.
- Familiarity with formal sales processes, tendering, specification writing.
- Experience working in service/technical cross-functional teams.
