The Role: Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment with plenty of room to grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other regulatory reporting
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc accounting tasks as required
What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or working towards qualification)
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar)
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
