Clinipath Pathology is a Perth-based subsidiary of Sonic Healthcare with a reputation as a quality pathology service provider, focusing on professional excellence, reliability and excellent customer service.

We are currently seeking applications from a dynamic, motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dedicated and busy Accounts Receivable Department in our Osborne Park Laboratory in a full time role.

As an essential member of the team, your primary responsibilities of this role are:

  • Timely and accurate processing of payments in high volume environment.
  • Processing of cash, cheque, and credit card payments received daily.
  • Generating invoices, reminders, and accounts letters.
  • Answering Accounts Receivable phone calls and assisting patients with their account enquiries.
  • Check with doctor/clinic for any unclear or missing information required for accounts receivable.
  • Liaising with Medicare and Health Funds to obtain information needed for invoicing.
  • Give quotes for testing to patients following the standard protocol.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Certificate in Business Administration, Finance or similar relevant qualification.
  • Sound interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with patients/customers, external parties and all levels of staff in a professional manner.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and numeracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and also autonomously.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work and maintain performance in a high paced environment.
  • The right to work in Australia.

Desirable selection criteria:

  • Previous accounts receivable experience.
  • Experience in healthcare is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
