AJ Technology Services undertakes installation and maintenance of voice and data networks as well as access control, CCTV and security alarm systems. We have four offices – Toowoomba, Brisbane, Darwin and Dili, servicing commercial clients throughout central and southern Queensland, the Northern Territory and Timor Leste. Our company has been established for 20 years and with continued growth we are seeking additional staff to join our team.

An opportunity currently exists for an apprentice to join our Toowoomba office that currently has 14 staff. Our friendly team installs customer premise voice and data cabling, including copper and optic fibre, as well as wireless technologies, duress systems, CCTV and access control systems.

This is an entry level position where no experience is necessary, however you must demonstrate that you are a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Experience using hand tools is also beneficial. Our experienced technicians will mentor you throughout your studies and on the job. The apprenticeship delivers a Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology as well as an ACMA cablers licence with endorsements. The position works Monday to Friday and overtime work may be available. At times you may have the opportunity to travel throughout Queensland to our more remote work sites, with remote allowances paid.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA


• Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn


• Possess or have the ability to gain a General Construction (white) Card or equivalent


• Possess or have the ability to qualify for a Working with Children (blue) card


• Current Drivers Licence


• Able to work outside business hours, weekends and remote, if required

DESIRABLE


• Experience using hand tools


• Possess good communication with work colleagues and clients


• PC Literate
