About the role

Bridgestone Select Wilsonton is seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to join our team in Toowoomba, QLD. As the Workshop Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our automotive workshop, ensuring high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career progression within our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervise and coordinate the work of automotive technicians and apprentices to ensure all jobs are completed to the highest standard
  2. Allocate work orders and monitor the progress of jobs to meet customer expectations and deadlines
  3. Provide hands-on technical support and mentorship to the workshop team
  4. Maintain workshop tools, equipment and the overall work environment to ensure optimum productivity and safety
  5. Liaise with customers to understand their needs and communicate progress on repairs
  6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures
  7. 50/50 split of hands on work and office duties (Training provided to achieve office duties)

What we're looking for

  1. Trade qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a related field
  2. Exceptional technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  3. Strong leadership and people management abilities
  4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  5. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
  6. Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic equipment and software
