About the Role

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment in our manufacturing environment. Your expertise will keep production operating efficiently, minimise downtime, maintain product quality, and uphold strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose equipment faults and repair malfunctions across a range of machinery, including CNC and hydraulic systems, to minimise downtime and ensure critical services remain operational
• Implement preventative maintenance programs, including regular inspection, cleaning, and lubrication, to prevent equipment failures, in addition to providing operational support and training to other team members where required
• Adjust and calibrate equipment to ensure compliance with production specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance and resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards to ensure adherence to regulations
• Perform equipment failure analyses and document findings using the MEX system

Skills and Qualifications:

• Relevant trade qualification with strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems typical in manufacturing environments
• Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues
• Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand and machine tools
• High attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and management
• Experience with preventive and unscheduled maintenance in an industrial environment

About You

• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (advantageous)
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively, within in a team environment
• Commitment to complying with our zero-tolerance Drug and Alcohol Policy
• Forklift licence (highly desirable)
• Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence (highly desirable)
