We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team at Khukuri Nepali Restaurant, Adelaide Since 2023, we have been proud to offer authentic Nepalese cuisine, providing our customers with a unique and delightful dining experience. We are looking to expand our team with professionals who share our passion for the rich flavors and traditions of Nepal.

Full time

$75,000- $ 80,000 Per Year plus Super.

Locations

Adelaide: 83-89 Currie St, Adelaide SA 5000

Key Responsibilities:

·       Prepare and cook traditional Nepalese dishes, ensuring each dish maintains the authentic flavours and presentation.

·       Manage kitchen operations including inventory, staff supervision, and quality control.

·       Develop new recipes and menus in collaboration with the restaurant management to continuously improve and diversify our offerings.

·       Prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times    according to agreed standards.

·       Coordinate all food purchasing, budgeting and planning operations with other staff members

·       Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

·       Create new menus with restaurant managers.

·       Train and supervise new kitchen members

Requirements:

·       Proven experience as a chef in Nepalese restaurants/ hotels with a deep understanding of Nepalese cuisine.

·       Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality industry as a Chef.

·       Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills.

·       Passion for creating innovative, high-quality menu items and providing outstanding customer service

·       Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
