About Us
Buonasera is an elegant traditional Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Adelaide, celebrating the rich heritage of Italian cuisine with a modern flair. Known for our warm hospitality and authentic flavours, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences with high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced chef to join our dedicated kitchen team.
What You'll Do:
As a chef at Buonasera, you'll be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking a variety of traditional Italian dishes with consistency and finesse
Ensuring high standards of food presentation, portion control, and quality
Overseeing food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
Managing stock levels, minimizing waste, and maintaining kitchen efficiency
Mentoring junior kitchen staff and supporting their development
Working closely with management on new menu ideas and seasonal dishes
What We're Looking For:
Either a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant
full-time work experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen
Strong knowledge of traditional and modern Italian cuisine
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
A genuine passion for food, teamwork, and hospitality
