We're seeking a results-driven Management Accountant / Finance Analyst to join our finance team within a leading service industry business based in North Melbourne.

In this pivotal role, you'll deliver the financial intelligence and insights that drive informed decision-making, support business growth, and enhance operational performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process and deliver accurate, timely management reports
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Leverage Power BI and business intelligence tools to deliver actionable insights
  • Prepare year-end accounting packs and partner with external auditors during audit cycles
  • Oversee customer contracts, providing contract analysis and pricing
  • Collaborate with Business Unit leaders to develop annual budgets and forecasts
  • Drive budget monitoring, performance analysis, and financial planning optimisation
  • Present insights and recommendations that enhance profitability and efficiency
  • Communicate performance drivers clearly to senior management
  • Review and improve finance processes, controls, and procedures
  • Deliver high-quality financial analysis for ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives
  • Assist with providing mentorship and support to junior finance team members

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA qualification highly regarded
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in management accounting or financial analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Solid commercial acumen
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (Dynamics 365 an advantage)
  • Advanced Excel skills and proven experience with Power BI / BI tools
  • Strong grounding in management accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
