Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team based in Welshpool. With a strong reputation across the engineering and project delivery sector, this organisation is known for its professional, supportive culture and long-term stability.

This is a temporary, full-time opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent. Its well-suited to someone with proven accounts payable experience who is confident in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being part of a close-knit finance team. While the focus is accounts payable, youll also gain exposure to payroll and other finance functions.

  • Matching and coding invoices for weekly payment runs
  • Monitoring and managing the AP inbox with timely responses
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end close activities
  • Creating and sending invoices for accounts receivable
  • Processing and paying employee expense claims and petty cash
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years accounts payable experience
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to build relationships across different levels of the business
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
