About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and meticulous Warehouse & Logistics Co-Ordinator to elevate our operational efficiency. This pivotal role involves taking full ownership of all incoming and outgoing material processes, implementing precise inventory management for both general stores and our extensive tyre inventory, and maintaining an exemplary standard of organization within our storage areas. You will also skillfully coordinate vehicle movements, ensuring smooth and timely operations across our facilities.

This position reports directly to the Test Operations Supervisor and is based in Australia at our You Yangs Proving Ground (YYPG) in Lara, Victoria.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and safely manage the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of all incoming and outgoing goods, including specialized tyre stock.
  • Meticulously verify and accurately document all inbound and outbound shipments for general supplies and tyre inventory, capturing precise details such as tyre size, brand, and type.
  • Systematically organize and maintain optimal inventory levels and accessibility within the general stores area.
  • Proactively manage and optimize the tyre store inventory, implementing best practices for proper stacking, precise categorization, and effective stock rotation.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate tyre order fulfillment, preparing tyres for outgoing shipments or customer pick-up with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Execute regular cycle counts and actively contribute to comprehensive inventory audits for both general stores and tyre stock, ensuring data integrity.
  • Safely and proficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and safe environment across all storage areas, with particular emphasis on tyre storage for optimal safety and accessibility.
  • Operate company fleet vehicles for the pick-up and delivery of vehicles, parts, and spares as required, ensuring safe, timely, and reliable transport.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain comprehensive, accurate transport logs to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

About You

  • Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.
  • Experience or familiarity with tyre inventory management is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially for varied inventory types.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including various tyre sizes.
  • Valid Forklift certification.
  • Valid Victoria driver's license (Heavy Rigid) with a clean driving record.
  • Computer skills for data entry, record-keeping, and inventory management systems.
