Our client is one of Australia’s leading logistics and warehousing specialists, providing storage, handling, and inventory management services for import, export, and domestic distribution. They are the world’s largest wool and independent cotton handler.

We have an opportunity for a **Shipping Co-Ordinator** to join their dedicated and hard-working team based in Brooklyn for a **temp-perm** position.

Full-time working hours Mon-Fri, $36p/h

**About the role**:

- Building relationships with transport companies
- Communicate with container transport on needs for containers
- Check shipping line websites and contact shipping lines directly to update the system according to newly obtained vessel dates
- Give store the OK to pack in co-ordination with customers and operations
- Liaise with transport regarding packing times/deadlines
- Liaise with container transport regarding empty container delivery and loaded container pickup
- Check/print reports to plan & prioritise packing of containers
- Follow up on Gate In's on last day of receival

**About you**:

- Prior experience working in a transport co-ordinator role
- Ability to provide high levels of customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation
- Ability to adapt to new systems and processes
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong Microsoft office skills
- Must be able to provide 2 contactable references
