Warehouse & Logistics Manager

UGLs manufacturing and maintenance business are looking for a
**Warehouse & Logistics Manager** to join our $2.3 billion New Intercity Fleet (NIF) project team. This project will oversee the replacement of trains carrying customers from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains and the South Coast. UGL will operate a new maintenance facility and provide maintenance and asset management services to the new fleet for 15 years.

**About the Role**

This role will be offered on a permanent full-time basis working at the Kangy Angy maintenance facility on the NSW Central Coast. Applicants must be living or willing to travel or relocate to the Central Coast for this site based role.

Working with in the planning and logistics team this role will have between 1-6 direct reports - Stores & Warehouse staff as well as purchasing officers.

Reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager, the role of Warehouse & Logistics Manager is to manage and coordinate all facets of inventory and logistics management for NIF Project for both UGL, partner and customer owned inventory.

The role is required to deliver direct support service for all production requirements conducted within The NIF Project in conjunction with overseeing all purchasing to efficiently and effectively manage all goods inward, storage, goods outward, cycle counting, expediting of purchase orders and logistics. The role is responsible for the control, accuracy and timely delivery of materials to production, Sub-contractors, customers and NIF Sites and stabling yards as required.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, engineering, project management, or a related discipline is desired OR relevant experience is a similar role managing a warehouse.
- Previous experience managing a team of direct reports.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Advanced SAP operational experience with specific focus on Warehouse Management.
- Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment.
