Disability Support Worker (Evening Shifts) Bundoora VIC

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Disability Support Worker (MALE) to provide evening support for a client in Bundoora who requires manual handling assistance. A varying range of shifts will be available and participant support requirements in addition to manual handling earlier mentioned may also include personal care, transportation, community access, activities of daily living etc.

About you

You are a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individual with a real passion to make a difference to the lives of the people with disability. You are a male worker with experience in manual handling. As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • A strong understanding of the NDIS and participant support requirements
  • Experience supporting NDIS participants with physical disability, intellectual disability, psychosocial disability etc.
  • The ability to communicate and appropriately respond to the needs of people with disability
  • Passion for building strong relationships and rapport with participants
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to complete detailed and accurate documentation
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Drivers License
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
  • Legal working rights in Australia
