Since its establishment in 2015, Including You has grown into a trusted organisation committed to supporting individuals and families as they navigate the NDIS system. We deliver services across Metro Melbourne, the Goulburn and Grampians regions of regional Victoria, Southeast Queensland and Canberra.

At Including You, our Support Workers embrace a person-centred and rights-based approach, delivering tailored support that reflects the unique needs and abilities of each participant. They are dedicated to promoting choice and control, upholding human rights, and encouraging independence through skill-building and the development of strong, sustainable support networks.

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will be helping make a difference in the lives of those living with a disability.

Essential criteria:

  • Assistance with community access and recreational activities
  • MUST be willing to undertake Personal care (showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance) while respecting dignity - training provided when required
  • Manual handling - training provided when required
  • Transportation and social engagement
  • Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
  • Behavioral and Mental Health Support
  • Dedicated to helping participants achieve personal goals with encouragement
  • Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications

One of the following is desirable but not essential:

  • Cert III in Individual Support
  • Cert IV in Disability

Training we offer:

  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • NDIS Induction Module
  • Infection Control
  • COVID-19 Infection Control
  • Manual Handling
  • Assist Clients with Medication

The following will be required for the Role:

  • MUST be willing to undertake Personal Care
  • A fully insured (comprehensive) and reliable vehicle and the willingness to use it for work purposes.
  • Current Drivers License
  • NDIS Screening Check
  • A current Working with Children's Check
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathetic and proactive approach with a genuine interest to work in this field
  • The legal right to work in Australia
  • Three Professional References
  • You must have a NDIS worker screening clearance check before commencing work. You will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's free online Worker Orientation Module and Induction Module prior to commencing.
