Gateway Health is a community health service providing health and welfare services to individuals, families and communities across Northeast Victoria and parts of Southern New South Wales. We are a not-for-profit Company limited by guarantee and a registered Community Health Service under the Health Services Act 1988 (Vic).
The organisation employs over 380 staff providing a range of primary health and community services across the Ovens Murray region in Northeast Victoria and parts of Southern New South Wales. ABOUT THE ROLE
As the People & Culture Officer, you will play a key role in supporting a positive and inclusive staff experience across Gateway Health. This dynamic position focuses on promoting employee wellbeing, engagement, and recognition through coordination of a range of organisational programs and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include leading Gateway Health's employee wellbeing initiatives, administering the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), coordinating staff engagement and culture surveys, and managing our reward and recognition program. You'll also play a critical role in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the organisation.
In addition, you will coordinate our student placement program and clinical supervision framework, working closely with internal stakeholders and external education providers to ensure smooth operations and a high-quality experience for all participants.
Based in Wodonga or Wangaratta with occasional travel to other sites, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to a supportive, engaged and values-driven workplace that is committed to continuous improvement and community impact.
ABOUT YOU
You are a proactive and values-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative team environment. With excellent organisation and communication skills, you're comfortable working on multiple programs and have a genuine passion for enhancing employee and student experiences.
You will also bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a diplomatic manner
- Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude

REMUNERATION
Victorian Stand Alone Community Health Services (Health and Allied Services, Managers & Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement
Classification – Managers and Administrative Officer Grade 3 ($42.83 per hour)
