Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club is a well-established community venue offering a range of sporting and social facilities, including bowling greens, a futsal field, and a street roller hockey rink. In addition to our sporting activities, we host regular functions, social events, and barefoot bowls, making our club a lively and inclusive community hub.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Duty Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our licensed venue. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth service delivery, compliance with licensing requirements, and maintaining a welcoming environment for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bar operations and ensure compliance with RSA and liquor licensing requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and visitors.
  • Assist with event and function setup, coordination, and pack-down.
  • Operate point-of-sale and EFTPOS systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within bar and function areas.
  • Support staff and volunteers to ensure consistent, safe, and professional service delivery.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or club management/supervisory role.
  • Sound understanding of the Liquor Control Act 1988 (WA) and Director's Policies.
  • Current Approved Manager certificate (preferred) or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (preferred).
  • Competency in basic computer systems and POS/EFTPOS operations.
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, approachable manner.

Additional Details

  • Shift Types: 8–12 hour shifts (afternoon, evening, weekend).
  • Pay: Hourly rate with penalty rates as applicable.
  • Work Location: On-site, East Victoria Park.
