Senior Sous-Chef – McKinnon Hotel

McKinnon Hotel is looking for an experienced Senior Sous-Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time roster (38–42 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, high-volume environment and wants to play a key part in leading a professional, fast-paced kitchen.

About the Role:

You'll work closely with our Head Chef to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, maintain consistency and quality, and help drive service standards across all areas. You'll lead from the front — especially on grill and pans — and support with prep coordination, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen.

Key Details:

  • 38–42 hours per week on a rotating roster
  • Must be available for weekends, public holidays, and peak weekday services throughout the year
  • Previous kitchen management experience highly regarded
  • Proven success on grill/pans and experience in high-volume venues preferred
  • Competitive pay based on experience
