We provide national leadership on the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and collaborate with the Australian and state and territory governments to:
- implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families
- monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Law across all states and territories
- support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role
The Project Change Lead is responsible for leading the change management process to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of projects in the NQA IT System environment. The role requires a strong technical understanding, will lead a team of training content developers and is responsible for designing and executing change management strategies including the development of training to enhance user engagement.
This role is full time and fixed-term (until 30 June 2026) at ACECQA Band 6 ($126,436 - $140,976).
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years proven leadership experience in change management, preferably inthe context of technology system implementations.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams and the ability to foster team collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills to coordinate various aspects of change management.
- Demonstrated ability to a lead a team in the creation of training materials for user training sessions.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges.
- Extensive experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Positive and proactive attitude with a focus on achieving successful outcomes.
While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:
- Experience working in a regulatory or compliance-driven environment to support change for technology solutions.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies or in sectors such as financial services, health, or government, where adherence to standards and auditability is critical.
- Certification in project management (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMP, Prince2) is highly regarded.
