Our skilled staff deliver a breadth of care-based services across a vast geographic footprint, and in many types of locations.
About the Role
The Recovery Practitioner, Women's Early Intervention Service (WEIS) provides client and trauma informed support to women who are in contact with the criminal justice system, including those referred through Court Link, the Brisbane Watch House, and Brisbane Central and Brisbane South Probation and Parole offices.
Operating as a service system navigator and advocate, you will work alongside women at critical points of need, focusing particularly on securing safe, appropriate housing and reducing further criminalisation through early intervention. Using a strengths-based, recovery-oriented approach, you will provide case management, risk assessment, practical support, and coordinated referrals to relevant health, housing and social services.
This role is suited to a compassionate, skilled practitioner who is committed to social justice, recovery, and improving outcomes for women impacted by criminal justice involvement, homelessness, complex trauma, AOD use, mental health concerns and systemic disadvantage.
This is a permanent part-time, opportunity based at our Toowong office at 30.4 hours per week.

- Assist with and advocate for clients to access necessary health and support services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Service User records and comply with reporting processes for incidents and complaints.
- Facilitate Service User/staff feedback surveys and complete additional administrative tasks as needed.
- Promote a culture of trauma-informed and client-centred care. Adhere to a service framework focusing on self-determination, social justice, and strengths-based practice.
- Support the implementation of quality practice enhancements and evidence-based innovations and stay updated with current methodologies through relevant networks.
