Stuartholme School is a Catholic Independent day and boarding school for girls in Years 5 to 12. The Position

School Shop Manager

About the Role

Are you passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences and keeping operations running smoothly? Stuartholme School is seeking a warm, organised, and retail-savvy School Shop Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our vibrant School Shop.

From uniforms and sportswear to memorabilia and essentials, the School Shop is a central hub for students, families, and staff. This hands-on role blends retail management, operational excellence, and community engagement — ensuring every visitor feels welcome and supported.

Remuneration will be aligned with market rates and determined based on the successful candidate's experience and demonstrated capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the School Shop, delivering a seamless retail experience.
• Assist students and families with product selection, sizing, and ordering.
• Maintain stock levels and manage purchasing to ensure timely availability and value.
• Oversee stock control, presentation, and shop security.
• Process sales, manage cash handling, and coordinate banking.
• Prepare daily sales summaries and stock reports.
• Organise dispatch and pickup of goods.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

What You'll Bring

• Proven retail leadership experience, ideally in clothing or school shop environments.
• A personable, community-focused approach with excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional presentation and clear communication skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote).
• Bonus: Experience in accounting, small business management, or inventory systems.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent part-time, term-time position:

• Monday & Wednesday: 7.30am – 3.00pm
• Friday: 7.30am – 3.15pm
  
  Additional hours may be required during peak holiday periods to support seasonal demand and stock preparation. Flexibility by agreement.
