We are looking for passionate, competent, and committed clinicians clinical psychologists, provisional registered/registered psychologist to join our team on a casual basis.

Summary:

You will provide psychological services to participants and families through assessment, diagnosis, and provision of support services and assistance in the development and evaluation of support and intervention programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions with patients to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues.
  • Assess and diagnose patients using appropriate assessment measures.
  • Develop treatment plans and goals based on patient needs and diagnoses.
  • Work collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure care is coordinated for patients.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to patients during times of psychological distress.
  • Conduct research on mental health issues and develop new treatment approaches.
  • Attend and participate in industry-related conferences and seminars.
  • Providing primary and secondary counselling, evaluation, professional opinion, and recommendations across modalities in accordance with guidelines and principles for participants who have special needs, are referred because of, or are at risk of developing, complex and challenging behaviours.
  • Contributing to quality assurance processes through the evaluation of service delivery to enhance the client experience and achieve sustainable and viable services that facilitate the social, educational, and economic inclusion of participants and their families.
  • Other duties as directed

Qualifications:

  • Valid AHPRA registration to practice as a psychologist.
  • Provisional psychologists must have at least 1 year experience in a therapeutic role
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mental health field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment and treatment principles.
  • Experience conducting research and publishing articles.
  • Previous experience within Medicare, NDIS, Veterans Affairs or healthcare client supports desirable.
  • Lived experience within the aged, disability and / or community services sector highly advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Client Management systems such as Cliniko or Halaxy would be advantageous.
  • An ability to establish rapport, build and maintain trusted relationships with clients
  • Drivers Licence.
