We're looking for a  Buying Centre Specialist to join our team and help drive our vehicle acquisition operations forward.

The Role

The Buying Centre Specialist is responsible for gaining business from new and existing clients while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. The main focus of this role is conducting  pre-purchase vehicle inspections and facilitating the purchase of vehicles from the public through leads and private sourcing. This position requires building rapport with stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships, and communicating up-to-date vehicle knowledge to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections on vehicles considered for purchase and resale, providing accurate repair cost estimations.
  • Handle all incoming enquiries related to vehicle purchasing.
  • Contact customers via prepared scripts, tailored to lead type and source.
  • Generate new business opportunities through online research, mailings, referrals, and competitor monitoring.
  • Build and maintain customer loyalty by understanding needs, selling criteria, and decision-making processes to form long-term partnerships.
  • Provide tailored solutions to acquire customer vehicles and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Promote CarPlace's vehicles and services, cross-sell and upsell where possible.
  • Negotiate and finalise purchase contracts by overcoming objections and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with other CarPlace departments, such as Sales and Finance, to ensure ongoing customer relationships.
  • Maintain accurate customer databases, call logs, and follow-up actions.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks and paperwork to high standards.
  • Stay informed on vehicle features, market trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Participate in training programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
