Short order cook required to join our awesome team at Cafe in Upper Coomera. Must be confident on working in a kitchen unsupervised.

Must be available from 6:00am - 2pm 5 days a week

Therefore must be experienced in short order cooking including;

  • Toasted Sandwiches and Wraps
  • Cooked breakfast (such as eggs benedicts, big breakfast)
  • Burgers
  • Fish and chips
  • On the go items such as Sandwiches, wraps.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast and lunch items.

Handle customer orders efficiently and with precision, ensuring timely service.

Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including food storage and preparation areas.

Maintain a high standard of food quality, consistency, and presentation.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.

Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

Assist in receiving and managing food deliveries and inventory.

Contribute to menu planning and development, suggesting new dishes or improvements.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a short-order cook

Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Excellent time management and organisation skills.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 – $40.00 per hour
