About the Role
We are seeking a business-savvy
Business Operations Analyst
with deep expertise in red meat supply chains and processing. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between customer requirements and solution delivery by understanding operational challenges, interpreting customer and regulatory needs, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver impactful, business-aligned solutions.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Customer Engagement & Requirements Gathering
- Engage with meat processors, exporters, and supply chain stakeholders to collect and validate business needs across livestock procurement, processing, compliance, reporting, and customer markets (domestic and export).
- Facilitate discovery workshops to document end-to-end processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into structured process documentation, user stories, and other actionable formats.
Business Process Design & Optimisation
- Map current and future-state business processes using BPM tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
- Ensure customer requirements are aligned with industry standards such as NLIS, LPA, EU, Halal, and MSA.
- Design traceable, compliant, and efficient workflows from paddock to plate.
- Validate designs with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs and system capabilities.
Solution Alignment & Implementation Support
- Collaborate with product, technical, and delivery teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of business requirements.
- Support user demonstrations, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live readiness.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for red meat operations, bridging gaps between users and developers.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
- Monitor solution performance post-implementation to ensure business value is achieved.
- Document and share best practices, reusable assets, and process templates.
- Contribute to thought leadership in digital transformation within the red meat sector
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in red meat processing and livestock supply chain operations.
- Proven background in business analysis, process mapping, or solution consulting.
- In-depth understanding of red meat regulatory frameworks (e.g., NLIS, EID, LPA, export requirements).
- Strong ability to translate operational challenges into actionable requirements.
- Experience with ERP, MES, or industry-specific systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and workshop facilitation skills
Requirements and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in red meat processing and livestock supply chain operations.

VIC / QLD / NSW – Hybrid
Desirable Qualifications:
- Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA).
- Experience in digital traceability or industry-led transformation programs.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Finance & Operations.
- Understanding of data integration, workflow automation, or QA tools.
- Exposure to Agile and/or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
