Your New Role

A rare and exciting opportunity now exists for a
Trainee Patent Attorney
to join our growing
Chemistry
team. This is a permanent, full-time role.

Whilst we are encouraging applicants to apply from across Australia, ideally the successful candidate will be able to attend face-to-face training in either our Sydney or Melbourne offices.

The role involves challenging work with exposure to a variety of top clients, including patent drafting, prosecution, oppositions, searching and advice for small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, ASX-listed companies, and leading universities and research organisations.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a trainee, you will handle various patent-related tasks for a diverse group of clients, both local and international.

Your Training and Skills

To be considered for this opportunity, it is a requirement that you have:

  • Excellent academic background with at least a
    PhD
    level qualification in a subject relating to
    chemistry
    .
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: materials science, inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering and/or polymers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical skills
  • An outstanding eye for detail
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts accurately and succinctly
  • Rigorous time management skills with the ability to deliver results within specific timeframes
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously
