This fulltime position is available for an immediate start from our Melbourne office.

The Role

We are seeking an Intellectual Property Administrative Assistant to provide accurate and efficient support to our Attorneys. You will play a key role in managing data entry, preparing correspondence, maintaining client records, and ensuring deadlines are tracked effectively.

You will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including:

  • Patent, Design and Trade Mark filings;
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence;
  • Liaising with Australian and foreign clients regarding their intellectual property matters;
  • Assisting with document preparation;
  • Administrative tasks including filing, invoicing, organising diaries and making appointments; and
  • Assisting with general administration when required.

About You

You will be a focused and calm individual who thrives working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a high level of professionalism. You will have experience in using Microsoft Office, be tech savvy and preferably experience using web-based databases and legal software systems.

A solid understanding of patent, design and trade mark processes and procedures will be critical to your success in this role.
