Central Highlands Regional, Australia Coronado Global Resources Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

At Coronado Global Resources, we're more than just a world-leading producer of high-quality metallurgical coal — we're a people-driven organisation, empowering our teams to shape the future of mining operations across the globe. With operations in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland and the Central Appalachian region of the US, we're delivering on innovation, sustainability, and performance.

About the Role

We're on the hunt for a switched-on, detail-loving Cost Administrator to join our Maintenance team at our Curragh Mine site in Blackwater. This role is all about helping us keep track of our spend, spotting cost blowouts before they happen, and making sure invoices, POs, and reports are spot-on.

You'll be deep in the day-to-day detail, creating purchase requisitions, reconciling timesheets, supporting vendor queries, and pulling together cost reports that help our leaders make informed decisions. It's the perfect mix of independence and teamwork, with real impact on the bottom line.

Your role will be interesting and varied and will include:

  • Preparing detailed cost reports and variance analyses comparing actual expenses to budgets.
  • Identifying trends, patterns and anomalies in maintenance spending
  • Creating purchase requisitions, complete receipting & reconciling PO's against vendor timesheets and invoices
  • Monitoring weekly spends across all maintenance departments & highlighting over budget spend to ensure it is mitigated early
  • Coordinating with maintenance leadership to ensure adherence to budgets
  • Assisting with gathering data for the creation of maintenance zero based budgets working collaboratively across maintenance & Engineering teams

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of SAP, and a keen eye for identifying discrepancies in cost data. You take pride in your accuracy, enjoy problem-solving, and are comfortable working with both data and stakeholders to ensure everything adds up.

Key to your success will be your:

  • A sharp eye for detail and a proactive mindset to stay ahead of issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and vendors
  • The ability to balance day-to-day admin with bigger-picture cost control thinking

Whether your background is in administration, finance, or maintenance cost control, you're someone who can confidently manage competing priorities and support day-to-day operations with precision and reliability.

Why Join Us?

At Curragh, we're more than just a leading producer of metallurgical coal - we're a team that values people, progress, and community. Whether you're building your career or seeking your next challenge, we offer real opportunities to grow and thrive.

  • Career Development: Be part of a global business with strong local roots, where you'll have access to training, mentoring, and internal progression pathways.
  • Flexible Work Options: Enjoy a nine-day fortnight or take advantage of work-from-home arrangements on designated days, offering balance even in an on-site environment.
