Your Role

The Maintenance Officer is a motivated and reliable support for the MDAS Assets team in the maintenance of our properties, fleet and grounds. This hands on role is varied and dynamic; perfect for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

Your day to day duties will include general property and ground maintenance, operating maintenance tools and equipment, responding to scheduled building service requests, moving fleet vehicles for servicing and repairs, and supporting logistic requirements such as furniture, events and other asset related tasks.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively and take direction from senior staff within a small team environment with knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems based on knowledge and experience, scanning for useful information, looking for underlying cause and suggesting alternative actions.
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping and communication.
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience providing services that are inclusive of Aboriginal people and engaging in learning about other cultures to better establish relationships and improve services.

Qualification/s Experience:

Relevant experience in a similar role.

Other Screening Requirements:

Valid Drivers License that allows you to drive in Australia.

Victorian Employee Working with Children Check card.

National Police Check.
